New house.... お古だけど、新しいおうち

We finally got a picture of Sora in her new house. Sunday morning and tired after a walk along the lakefront to town and then back via the park.　朝寝中のソラです。　でも、完全には眠ってない。ちら、ちらっとカメラを見てる。　おうちの中には、すでにスクイキーステータスを失ったぬいぐるみ達。　サファリシリーズ（Ｍが勝手に名づけてる）のライオン（河童ではありません）とティガーが手前に見えてます。　キリンは、他のベッドで寝てます。

Supper time! 今日はなぁに？

Around 8 or 8.30 pm we usually have tea and some small dessert and Sora gets some kind of treat. She's got used to the routine so much that when we walk towards the kitchen any time after about 7.30 pm she thinks its supper time and waits for her treat.　　私達が、ゆっくりと、夜食のお菓子を食べ、お茶を飲みたいから…という人間サイドの勝手な理由のためにソラが身につけてしまった習慣。　ちなみにソラがおやつとしてもらうのは、ヴェニスン（食肉用の鹿）の耳か、ビーフストライプ（干した牛肉）か、チキンの味付けして干したようなもの…過去には、ヴェニスンで40分くらい稼げたけど、今は10分くらいで食べ終えてしまうソラ。　オー・ディア！

Stitches out! バッシ！

Sora had her stitches out this morning. She was really great at the vets but it took three of us to hold her while the vet removed the stitches. She had developed a small lump near the incision that contained some bloody fluid which the vet removed too - not a big problem. This afternoon we went walking at Whakamoenga Point near Acacia Bay. Sora had a great time. She's now having a snooze.　手術の時は、全身麻酔だったけど、抜糸はどうやるのかなぁ？と不思議に思ってたのですが、ただ、押さえつけて、身動きとれなくして、糸を抜くだけでした。”だけ”が、大変だったんだけど…そりゃ、いくら病院慣れしているソラでも、お腹を見せて、そこから糸を10以上抜くというのは、暴れまくりますよねぇ…それでも、堪忍したのか、クーン、クーンとときたま泣くだけで、ソラは、ほとんどじっとしてました。その後、たまってしまった液体をお腹から注射で、抜く時も、注射の針がささっても、じっとしてて、偉かったねソラ…
午後のお昼寝の後、アカシアベイの岬のひとつにあるトラックで、自由に歩き回ったのが、ご褒美。このトラックは、昔ルマと一緒によくあるいたところ。　ソラは、当たり前だけど、リードなしだと、本当に嬉しそうに跳ね回ってるという感じ。　　

Winter...but... 春には、まだまだ遠いけど...

This is also a photo of Sora from yesterday morning.  She was sitting in front of a plum tree, which had just started blooming. 　昨日の朝の雪見散歩の時に、梅の花がほころび始めたのを見つけ、雪の丘をバックに記念撮影？　今朝は、もう丘の雪は溶けてしまって見られなかったけど、南に目を向けると、トンガリロの山々はさらにしっかりと雪化粧してました。

Wow snow! 雪です...ぶるっ

It's snowing today, not here in the town, but outside of the town, Kinloch, Wairakei and so on.  We can see snow on the hill from here. We saw a car covered with the snow, which was parked just a minute walk from here. 　The owner of the car must live somewhere out there.  I was not sure Sora could recognise snow, but I'm sure she will enjoy playing in the snow.  今朝は、雪の積もった丘を見に散歩に行きました。　Ｓのオフィスのあるワイラケイでは、雪が降っているとのこと。　いっぱい着込んで出掛けたけど、思ったほど寒くはなく、カメラ片手に朝の散歩を楽しんでいる人が結構いました。

Feet... クローズアップ...ソラの足.

We've talked about Sora's front feet before, but haven't yet shown a photo. We are careful to walk her on grass, and recently have been using shoes, but you can see how much her middle two toes are still worn down. Her spinal issues are fortunately not having a significant . effect on her at the moment, but the day-day health of her front feet is a bit of a concern. ソラの足の中指はこんな状態です。　前足をひきづりながら歩くため、中指２本の爪が削れて短く、指もこすって皮膚が破けて、出血してしまうことも多々。　靴は、そうした問題を軽減するために履かせています。ただ、左足の方が、靴が、まわってしまうためか、靴ずれを５本目の指の際に起こしてしまうという、違った問題が生じてます。　あちら立てば、こちら立たずですね。　彼女の脊髄神経系のほう（後ろ足）は、幸いなことに今は、際立った問題を起こしていないようにみえます。　明るいサイドを見たいと思う気持ちが勝っているかもしれませんが。。。クロスフィンガーズ。

Sora's stitches are doing well. Her incision looks really big but she doesn't seem at all bothered by it.　無邪気にころがっているソラ。　手術の傷跡は順調に癒えているよう。　かなり大きく■に剃られてしまったお腹、無防備...
