Cherry blossom ... お花見です

The weeping cherry tree in our garden is in full bloom. Sora thinks it looks great, as we do.　今年の春は、桜がどこでも綺麗です。　家の桜、”降る雪”という名前のわりにピンクだけど、今がちょうど満開。　今週末後半から来週は雨のようなので、今が本当に身頃…ソラも、私達に参加してお花見。

Sora's new collar has just arrived from Japan yesterday.  It looks so cute.  Thank you very much Y&T K.  She'll love it.　　昨日日本からソラの新しい首輪が届きました。　ルイ・ヴィトンをもじったエンボスがなんともかわいい。　さすが、メイドインジャパンと思ったＭ＆Ｓでした。　ソラは、今晩からホリデー（ケンネルへ）行くので、お披露目はまたあとで。。。

Another hiding place... ここが安心...？

Sora's sort of second phase of bed transition, a bit further from our bed room. That change has occurred last Friday and she seems still unsure about that and hasn't settled into the new arrangement yet.  So, we just guess, she's been wondering around during the night.  S found scattered post cards on the floor other morning, they are usually hanging  from the ceiling near her new sleeping place.　最初のベッドの移動は、かなりスムースにいったけど、今度のは、もう少し時間がかかりそうです。　ある晩は、気が付くとソラはＳの机の下にもぐってました...ここからは、私達のベッドが見えるからでしょうか？

Sora's learning from Mindy how to behave. やはり、ミンディの中に流れるボーダーコリーの血は違うなぁ～と思わされました。　頭の良さもだけど、オーナーに対する集中力と、従おうという意志力が、ＧＳＤの子犬とは、まだまだ大きな溝があります。

This photo shows how Sora was helpful while S and his father were mending their front lawn at last weekend.  ソラは、ノンストップで楽しい時間を過ごしたのは確かです。　タオルで足を拭く時だけは、いやがってむずむずしてたけど...　そう、足を拭く前に、すたすたと家の中へもぐりこみ、カーペットにも足跡××。.

Sora is spending her first night away from home at someone else's house. This is Mindy, Sora's host for the weekend. Mindy is very well behaved. We are hoping she will give Sora some lessons.　　ホストのミンディは（ボーダーコリー　ｘ　ビヤーデットコリー、メス2歳）、辛抱強く、ソラに接してくれました。　時々、大人のマナーをソラにレッスン。　やはり、ばたばたノンストップの子犬モードにはさすがに疲れるのか、時々、鍵のかかるお部屋でお昼寝してました。

A long way.... まだまだです...

Sora's got a certificate from her basic obedience class last night, but not the certificate for passing through the basics, though. Actually no dog passes first time, apparently that's normal. What frustrated us is that she can do all the requirements on her own, but not in the dog class environment.  To tell the truth, after the glorious 7th class,  she has lost her good reputation.... まだまだ、他の犬達の中で、落着いて、集中することができないソラ。　過去二回のクラスの後は、帰ってきたらすごすごと、犬小屋へ。　ソラ自身も、わかっているのだと思います。　いつの日にかＳをもう一度ほこらしげにさせて欲しいなぁ。

After dinner Sora tends to be very active until bed time. She wants to play all the time and if we don't give her the attention she wants she'll sit there and nudge you till you play.　ソファに座って、のんびりテレビでも観ようかなぁ？…と、思うと、誰かが目の前に座って、じーっと見つめます。　無視していると、濡れた鼻先で、くいくいっと…寝たふりもなかなか通じない。　どちらかというと、ソラのターゲットは、いつもM。

We were down near the river looking at the new season's cherry blossoms.　先週の暖かさが、春を一気に運んできたよう。　（今日は、久々のおしめりでしたが。。。）　そこかしこに、色々な種の桜の花が開花。　今は、特に白い花の桜が、枝ぶりも含めて綺麗。　Sに付き合って、ソラはワイラケイに近いファームに花を咲かせる老木の桜をお花見。　こうして見ると、ソラはまだまだ幼児体型か？　典型的なショードッグは、腰が下がっているけど、ソラは、もろに反対。　前足が短くて、後ろ足が長く、腰があがっています。　どうも身長がいまいち伸び悩み？前足をひきづって歩くのも、前屈みの体型のせいなのでしょうか？

Last night we were watching a DVD on Yellowstone National Park. When wolves came on the screen Sora was very interested.　目が近い（口が近い？）よって言いたいくらいにTVに見入っているソラでした。

Please play with me... フェッチはできないけど…

Sora drops her half chewed ball and waits for us to play with her.　　もとは、ミニサッカーボールでした。　今は、よく見ないとなんだろう？って感じ。　先日は、Mのコントロールの悪さで、塀をポコン（地面に一回落ちてからはずんだ…この状態でもはずむのはすごい）と乗り越えてお隣さんへ。　こんなボールでもソラのお気に入りで、洗濯を干してる間とか、ソラの気をまぎらわすのに役立つので、Mは、すごすごお隣へ…　郊外にある母屋と行き来しているお隣さんは、お留守。　塀を乗り越えちゃおうか…と思ったけど。。。思いとどまって、午後に運良くお隣さんを見つけたときには、”あ、最初、りんごのかじったのか？と思ったけど、ゴミに入れちゃった”と、言われ…それでも、お願いして、レスキューしてきました。

Panting, after a forest walk...search? 警察犬出動！？

Although its only spring, today is warm and sunny. Sora was panting after a walk in the forest.　今日は、本当に春爛漫という感じで、タウポの街も、観光客や地元の人で賑わっていました。”なぜか、パトカーもぐるぐると街をパトロールしてたとよー”と、午後に家に遊びに来てくれた友人が言ってました…？　で、この写真のソラを見て、なんかパトカーの中に座って、待機してるみたいに思えてしまって…ちなみに、ソラのパパは現役の警察犬です。

With the Rugby World Cup about to start Sora is in serious training and hoping for late inclusion in the All Blacks team.　９日にラグビーワールドカップが開幕。　各国の選手団が到着する様子がTVで報じられてますが、ソラが好きなのは、サッカーかも？　ボールを蹴ってやるとぱっと跳びつき、口でキャッチしたり、身体でボールを止めたり...　GSならぬGKか！？
