| Today was a big swim day for Sora. Both before breakfast and during the afternoon, when she met a big black labrador by the lake. 朝もやの中、すっくと湖を背に立つソラ。 もう何回か水にドボン。 午後は、別のビーチでドボン。 泳ぎの得意のラブラドールも思わずひいてしまう感じ。 今日は、オーナーにおいてかれても、尻尾をふりふり留まってくれた黒ラブ君に、わき目も触れず、泳ぎ続けていました。 |

| On Saturday we visited friends Sora is going to stay with when we are on holiday. They have two dogs and another was staying with them. Sora had a great time while we visited and we are sure she'll be happy when we are away. On Sunday we visited some other friends who have a 8 month GSD, Flossy. Although Flossy is 6 months younger than Sora she is already bigger! Sora enjoyed her visit there too and her and Flossy got on very well together. ソラは、私達が日本へ行く間、最初の予定では、ケンネルで過ごすはずでしたが. ここより、ちょっと南のお友達から、嬉しいご招待を受け、そこで、２匹のホスト犬達と一緒に過ごすことになりました。 彼女にとっても、またとないホリデーです。 感謝感謝！ まだ、ソラが４ヶ月くらいの時にそのお宅の犬達とは遊んでもらってるのですが、今回は、ソラが成犬サイズになってから始めての事前顔合わせ...犬達はハッピィそうで◎ そして、翌日は、新しいお友達フロッシィを訪問。 うぁー、大きい！吠える声も大きい！ でも、とっても美形。 モデル犬になれそう。 ２匹は、すぐにぐるぐる公園内を走りまわり、打ち解けてました。 ＧＳＤの同じ年頃のお友達。 ちなみに、フロッシィのお祖父さんは、ホワイトＧＳＤで、ＮＺのケンネルクラブでは、ブリードとして認められていないため、血統証がないそう。 |

| Sora had four days at the kennel while we were away. They said how much her 'back end' had improved since she was there last (early December) so we were very pleased to hear that. Maybe part of the reason is Sora's fondness for swimming. Its a really good exercise with very little stress on her joints. So tonight she had her first swim in several days. We also saw a nice white-faced heron sitting on a rock. See Sora in the bottom left corner. 私達の遅めのサマーホリデーに合わせて、ソラも久々にケンネルで他の犬達に混じってきました。 このところ、久しぶりに会う人達から、ソラの背中、歩き方が前よりしっかりしてきたと言われます。 嬉しいことです。 水泳がソラのリハビリ？にいいのは確かだと思います。 それで、今晩は、ひさびさに、嵐のさった静かな湖でスイム。 その前にバードウオッチングも楽しみました。 |

| Not Sora, the ball. Sora has two blue balls, this one and a larger one and they have somehow survived being chewed up. S was trying to take a photo of the ball with nice light from the blinds when someone came to investigate. ソラのおもちゃ箱はどんどん寂しくなってきてます。 前は、いっぱいだったのに、どんどん、小さく、細かくなって（噛み千切られ）、時には、ソラのお腹の中へ！？ これは、唯二？の生き残り。 このサイズと、これの2倍クラにサイズの同じ色のボールがなんとか…。 |

| Sora isn't afraid of the dark. At lunch the other day we walked through a tunnel under the highway and Sora thought it was great. 家の中では、時に、何かの音にびくっとしたりするソラだけど、外ではどんどん怖いものなしｏｒ探検モード。 入り口からは暗闇が延々と続くように見えるトンネルも、どんどんと一匹前を進みます。 |

| With the London Olympics less than 6 months away Sora has started regular swim training! どんどんソラの泳ぐ距離が長くなってきてます。 私達が、それこそオリンピックの砲丸投げ選手のように、軽石を投げられる距離が延ばせれば…さらなる？ |

| Well, it looks like Sora is playing the flute. Actually she is munching on a bit of cherry tree branch. Just as much fun as a new toy and a lot cheaper, and lasts longer! ビーバーのように枝をかじっているところ？ フリーの玩具です。 自然の玩具はいいですね。 他にも松ぼっくりがお気に入り。 松ぼっくりは、横で見てたら。丁寧に、一枚一枚、松かさをはがしては、ペッペッ。 |

| When we want to take Sora for an 'off-road' walk we usually go to the forest, but yesterday it was really windy and S was worried about falling trees so we went to the track near Aratiatia instead. On the outward trip Sora was full of beans but by the time we turned around she was pretty tired. She had a good time but would of rather have been at the lake! 強風を避けて、森の代わりに、早瀬へ出かけました。 ソラにとっては、どこへ出かけるのも楽しいのでしょうが、今は、湖が一番かも？というか、水がとにかく好きなようで、川辺でも、段差もなんのそので。ジャンプ＆ドブン！！（ちなみに、上るのも一気にジャンプ、後ろ足のこととか考えると信じられないけど） 流れが急なとこでもお構いなしなので、こちらが気をつけないといけません。 |
